Recorded Thursday night, October 8, 2026, on Lake O' the Pines.

"I'm going to catch a big catfish. I may catch a bigger catfish."

That's the whole plan.

Night fishing on Lake O' the Pines with two cameras on the boat. A GoPro on the rail up front, my phone further back. You see the same moment from both ends of the boat.

Headlamp on. Bugs everywhere. Lines out.

The first one

A catfish comes up on the line, right into the light.

Not keeping them yet. The lake hasn't turned over yet, I don't believe.

The one that didn't want to let go

"You don't want to let it go, huh? I'm trying to let you go."

Bait back up

Two live brim on the hook. See how they swim.

Then back out for a big catfish. Maybe a bigger one.

What I said (RYAN STATEMENT)

From the video, in my own words:

  • "I'm going to catch a big catfish. I may catch a bigger catfish."
  • "Not keeping them yet. Lake hasn't turned over yet, I don't believe."
  • "You don't want to let it go, huh? I'm trying to let you go."
  • "I'm going to bait back up real quick. Two live brim. See how they swim."
