Camry Over Raptor. I've Won Before I Even Start.
About $300 a month or about $1,800 a month. I drove the Raptor while the cash was flowing. Here is why I drive the Camry now.

I've won before I even start.
Here's how.
The short version
I'd rather drive a Toyota Camry for $250 to $300 a month than pay what I was paying on a Ford Raptor.
How much was that Raptor? I said $1,400. Then $1,600 or $1,700. Then I thought back. About $1,800 a month.
The math (my numbers, my math)
- Camry: $250 to $300 a month. 35.5 miles per gallon right now.
- Raptor: about $1,800 a month, from my own memory.
- Difference: roughly $1,500 a month. About $18,000 a year.
Cash flow is the whole story
When I bought the Raptor, I was cash flowing. I could do it.
Should I have kept doing it once the cash stopped? No. I should have gotten rid of it.
The Camry is just fine. And once it's paid off, it runs up and down the road.
It all matters
Every single bit of it. You may not think it does, but it does.
I'm not being a penny pincher. I know where I want to get to. And I can't get there blowing all my money on a vehicle and vacations.
It's time to lock in and focus.
My secret
- Find out what's required.
- Decide if you're going to do it.
- Do it.
If the answer is no, go back to the drawing board and figure out what you are willing to do.
I reverse engineer everything. I know the numbers. I know the data. I know the cost.
That's why I'm not gambling. That's why I've won before I even start.
What I said (RYAN STATEMENT)
- "I would rather drive a Toyota Camry for $250 a month to $300 a month than spend $1,400 a month with a Ford Raptor."
- "Find out what's required, figure out if you're going to do it or not, and then do it."
- "I'm not gambling. I've added it up, and I know the cost."
