I almost AI'd myself out of a lot of relationships and business.

Everything is automated now. It's AI. People are automating themselves right out of business, out of relationships, out of what they know.

The short version

AI is not going to replace what you know. You have to put what you know into it.

And the secret ingredient is the human.

My rule

• Automate what has to be right every single time.
• Keep a human on anything that comes down to reasoning, even if it's just oversight.
• Let people reach a real person. Sometimes you just want to talk to a human.

Bots and AI agents cost money. People cost money too, and people make mistakes. Use each one where it fits.

The moment it clicked

I was using ChatGPT, trained inside a brain program I've been building. I asked it a question, and it answered. I didn't see the answer.

So I kept going. Five minutes of asking questions and telling it what to fix.

Then I looked back up. Five minutes earlier it had already covered every concern I had. Word for word: "Ryan, you're going to have these concerns, and this is how we can solve it. Option A, B, or C?"

That thing reasoned it through. It knew me.

The part nobody tells you

ChatGPT won't do that for you out of the box. Neither will Claude, Grok, or Gemini.

You have to train them. It takes time. It takes the right software and the right hardware, put together the right way.

I have my own way of putting it together. That's what frees me up for the most fun, highest-return work there is: people, connections, relationships.
