Victoria Charity White is a single mother of four from Rochester, Minnesota. Before she was a case number she was raising four daughters. She volunteered with Back the Blue. She helped run 9/11 memorial events in her town. On January 6, 2021, she went to Washington for the Save America rally. She ended up in the crowd at the Capitol. The FBI's own statement of facts says something the headlines never printed: agents say she was seen arguing with rioters who were trying to break a Capitol window, and physically pulling them away from the glass. In her own words: "I tried to stop those two people from breaking the Capitol window because when we go to see the president, we do not go there to do stuff like that." She pleaded guilty to one felony count of civil disorder. On November 20, 2023, she was sentenced to ten days in prison, two years of supervised release, and ninety days of home detention. On January 20, 2025, President Trump's proclamation gave her a full pardon. The Pardon Attorney's own recipient list carries her name. The fight did not end there. Victoria says DC police trapped her in the Lower West Terrace tunnel and beat her: baton strikes, punches, pinned against a wall, unable to get out. She sued two MPD officers over it. On March 13, 2026, a federal judge ruled for the officers on qualified immunity grounds. The court did not say the beating she describes never happened. It said the law was not clear enough, in that moment, to hold the officers liable. Her allegations stand in the public record either way. Victoria's family is raising money for legal fees and to rebuild. Her support page is linked on this profile.
