Patrick Montgomery makes his living in the backcountry. FACT: Montgomery is a big-game hunting guide from Littleton, Colorado, and owns the guide business Pmonte Outdoors (Colorado Sun). Originally from Albuquerque, he moved to Colorado in 2001. His January 6 case ran nearly four years. He was one of the earliest arrests — January 17, 2021 — and he fought the charges. He was ultimately convicted of felonies including assaulting an officer, and on October 31, 2024, was sentenced to 37 months in prison (FACT: Colorado Sun). Then came January 20, 2025: presidential clemency covered January 6 cases, and Montgomery came home to Colorado. THEIR ACCOUNT: after the pardon, Montgomery sat down with FOX31 Denver and said it straight: "What happened that day was awful." He told his own story, on the record, under his own name. Watch it and judge for yourself. THE CASE RECORD Case 1:21-cr-46, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Arrested January 17, 2021.
