Kenneth Harrelson is a U.S. Army veteran and family man from Titusville, Florida. When the government hit him with seditious conspiracy — one of the heaviest charges brought against any January 6 defendant — he did not fold. He went to trial. FACT: On November 29, 2022, a Washington, D.C. jury ACQUITTED Kenneth Harrelson of seditious conspiracy. Say that part out loud. The jury heard the government's best case on the top charge and said no. FACT: He was convicted on other counts — obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to prevent an officer from discharging duties, and tampering with documents — and sentenced in May 2023 to four years (DOJ). His family fought for him the whole way. The Patriot Freedom Project profiled the Harrelson family's story and stood with them while he was inside (THEIR ACCOUNT — link below). FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump commuted Kenneth Harrelson's sentence — he was one of just 14 named commutations in the January 6 clemency proclamation — and he came home to Florida (Military.com). CASE RECORD (FACT): United States v. Rhodes, III, et al., No. 1:22-cr-15, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Arrested March 10, 2021. Jury verdict November 29, 2022: not guilty of seditious conspiracy; guilty on other counts. Sentenced May 2023. Sentence commuted January 20, 2025.
