Elijah Yazdani
Pardoned January 6 defendant
Documented editorial-use imageElijah Yazdani grew up one of six kids in a big family rooted in Athens County, Ohio, the kind of rural community where everybody knows everybody. He and two of his sisters, Abigail and Loruhamah, made the trip to Washington together on January 6 and walked into the Capitol together. Whatever else you say about that day, they did not do it alone, and they did not run from it after. The record: Yazdani, listed in some court filings under his full name, Loammi Yazdani-Isfehani, pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing passage through the Capitol. He was sentenced to 14 days in prison, 24 months of probation, and $500 in restitution. On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. No donation campaign has surfaced for Yazdani. If his family sets one up, it belongs right here. Case 1:21-cr-543. U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
