I've Never Asked for Help. I'm Asking Now.

This isn't an investigation or a case file. It's a personal note. I'm going to be straight with you, because that's the only way I know how to do this.
For the first time, I'm asking
In all the time I've been doing this work, I have never asked you for money for myself. I've asked you to share a story. I've asked you to send a tip. I've asked you to pray for a family going through hell. I have never asked you to help me.
I'm asking now. And I'll tell you exactly why, because you deserve the truth and I won't dress it up.
Where I'm at
I'm behind in my bank account. Rent is due, and I don't have all of it. I need help with groceries. That's the plain reality this week.
I did get a job earlier this week — real work, on top of the investigations and everything else I do. That's the good news. The problem is timing: I won't get paid from it for about another week and a half, and that's not soon enough for rent. So I'm stuck in the gap between the help being on the way and the bills being due right now.
If I could just get caught up one time — pay a couple of these bills up front, get a little breathing room, even get a little bit ahead — I could carry it from there. I'm not trying to be rescued. I'm trying not to go under in the two weeks before my own paycheck lands.
See exactly what a gift does
Before you give anything, look at what it actually covers. Slide it to whatever's right for you — the number isn't abstract, it's a grocery run, a tank of gas, a co-pay, a piece of rent.

What this work actually is
You've seen what I put into this. The investigations. Building out the case — with my own money. The articles that take hours, sometimes days, to get right. And the part most people never see: the people I help for free. I put J6 defendants' claims in at no charge. I take the welfare-check calls. I get on the phone with families who have nowhere else to turn and no one else who will listen.
A lot of you know that, because I've helped you. I've spent my own money doing it, month after month, because it mattered more to me than the money did.
I'm just finally saying out loud that I can't keep pouring from an empty cup.
What I'm asking for
Anything helps — and I mean anything.
- $25, $50, or $100 — if everyone I've helped gave once, this would already be handled.
- $100 from 30 people would change my entire situation right now.
- $250 from 10 people = $2,500 — that almost changes my life this month.
- $5,000 to $10,000 would genuinely change my life — it would lift the constant weight of will I make rent off of every single day.
- $20,000 to $50,000 would put me on the right path: out of the hole, on solid ground, building instead of just surviving.

Can't give? This helps just as much
I mean that. If money's tight for you too, sharing this is real help — it's how the people who can give find it. One tap:
Can't give right now? Sharing this helps just as much.
However this lands
If you can give — thank you. It will reach me, and it will matter more than you know. If you can't, nothing changes between us; I'm grateful you're even reading this. Share it, say a prayer, keep showing up. That counts too.
I've spent a long time being the guy who shows up for everyone else. I'm asking, just this once, for a little help showing up for myself.
Thank you for being here. Truly.
