Fighting Shadows: The Manuscript Is Finished

After a long, hard road, the manuscript for Fighting Shadows is finished.

I’m sharing the selected cover design and two excerpts as a first look at the people and gratitude behind these pages.

Those words mean a lot to me. Getting this story onto the page has taken work, patience, and help from people I will always be grateful for. Before I ask anyone to read it, I want to say thank you to the people who helped me finish it.

First, I thank God. Faith is part of this story because it is part of my life. These pages include difficult seasons, struggles I have faced, and the hope that helped me keep going. I wanted to tell that story honestly, including the parts that were hard to put into words.

I thank my family for their love and support. I thank the people who prayed, checked in, offered encouragement, and helped with the work of getting the book ready. I could not have done this alone.

The acknowledgments are personal to me. They are a chance to recognize the people behind the pages, the people whose kindness and faith made a difference along the way. I’m sharing these excerpts because I want readers to see that gratitude before they see more of the story.

Fighting Shadows is my memoir. It brings together experiences that have shaped my life, the struggles I have carried, and the importance of faith and family through difficult chapters. It is my story, told from my perspective.

We’re working with Oaktree Publishers on publication. Finishing the manuscript is a milestone I am thankful to reach, and I’m looking forward to sharing the next steps as they are confirmed.
