Zylas Hamilton is a North Georgia man with a wife and family who stood by him through one of the hardest stretches of his life. He drove nine hours from the Chattanooga area to attend President Trump's speech on January 6, 2021. What happened after that turned into a federal investigation, a guilty plea to disorderly conduct, and years of pressure on his family, pressure serious enough that they relocated to Georgia for their own safety while the case was pending. Zylas Hamilton didn't dodge what happened. He told News Channel 9 straight: "Do I feel like I did something wrong? Yes, but I feel like I did it for the right reason." He spent about 14 minutes inside the Capitol before he was escorted out, and he has said publicly that he does not regret standing up for what he believed, even while accepting there were consequences to face. On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted Zylas Hamilton a full pardon. He has said he hopes it means his family can finally move back home. CASE RECORD No case number on file.
