Vincent James Ardolino is an Orange County man out of Fountain Valley, California. He walked in a door. He walked out the same door. Ten minutes. WHAT THE GOVERNMENT'S OWN RECORD SAYS [FACT] According to the sworn statement of facts filed in his own case, Ardolino traveled from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. on January 4, 2021. [FACT] According to that same document, he sat for an FBI interview on February 10, 2022 and told agents he was inside the Capitol for approximately 10 minutes on January 6, 2021. He said he entered through a doorway, walked down a hallway to the Crypt and Rotunda area, and exited by the same route. [FACT] Geolocation data and security footage placed him inside the building between approximately 3:16 p.m. and 3:58 p.m. Eastern. [FACT] He talked to the FBI. Voluntarily. That is in the affidavit the government wrote. There is no allegation in that document that Vincent James Ardolino assaulted anyone, damaged anything, or carried a weapon. THE LEGAL FIGHT [FACT] The criminal complaint against Ardolino was not filed until November 21, 2022. Nearly two years after January 6. [FACT] He was arrested December 1, 2022. [FACT] He was charged under 18 U.S.C. 1752(a)(1) and (2), and 40 U.S.C. 5104(e)(2)(D) and (G). Misdemeanors and petty offenses. Nothing more. [NEEDS AUTHENTICATION] Public trackers report a disposition in May 2023 before Judge Reggie B. Walton on the parading count. This archive has not yet confirmed that from the docket. If you have the judgment, send it. [FACT] On January 20, 2025 the President issued a proclamation granting full, complete and unconditional pardons to individuals convicted of offenses related to the events at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, and directing dismissal of pending indictments in those cases. Ardolino's case falls within that grant. WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE No violence charged. No weapon charged. No property damage charged. Ten minutes in a hallway, and a federal case opened twenty two months later.
