Tyrone McFadden Jr. is a Baltimore, Maryland man whose January 6 case ended the way most misdemeanor cases end: a guilty plea, a sentence, and a record with no violence in it. THEIR ACCOUNT: When Tyrone McFadden and his fiancee Carrie Williams spoke to local Baltimore station WJZ after their arrest, they said they "didn't go up there to start anything, to hurt anybody" and described themselves as political outsiders caught up in a day that spun out of their control. FACT: According to the criminal complaint, investigators identified the couple through a tip pointing to another rioter's video and photos, and through cell phone location data placing them inside the Capitol. FACT: McFadden was arrested on August 30, 2022 in Baltimore. FACT: He pleaded guilty to Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building, and Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building, all misdemeanors, and was sentenced. No assault charge. No weapon. No felony count against Tyrone McFadden. A South Baltimore man, engaged to be married, who walked into a building he shouldn't have and, by his own account, walked back out without hurting anyone. Tyrone McFadden Jr. and Carrie Williams stood together through this, an engaged couple from Baltimore answering the same case side by side. That is a family choosing to face something hard together rather than apart. January 20, 2025: President Trump issued a sweeping clemency proclamation covering January 6 defendants nationwide. NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: whether Tyrone McFadden's case was resolved by that proclamation is not confirmed in the sources reviewed for this profile.
