Tyler Tew is an Idaho Falls, Idaho man and a family man first, whose own words to his wife ended up carrying more weight in court than anything the government found on video. FACT: Tew was arrested November 30, 2021 in Idaho Falls after investigators linked a mobile device to his presence at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 and identified him on surveillance footage entering through the Senate parliamentarian's door. THEIR ACCOUNT: Court filings quote messages Tew sent his spouse in the days after January 6, telling her what he had done. Those are his own words, entered by prosecutors as part of the case. They show a man who did not hide what happened, even from the person closest to him. FACT: Tew pleaded guilty to all four counts: Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building, Disorderly Conduct, and Parading in a Capitol Building. FACT: He was sentenced November 28, 2023 to two years probation, $500 restitution, and a $2,000 fine. No prison time. FACT: On January 20, 2025, Tyler Tew received a full and unconditional pardon. RYAN STATEMENT: A man in Idaho Falls made a choice on a Wednesday in January, told the truth about it to his own family, faced a federal court, paid his fine, served his probation, and got a pardon from the President of the United States. That is the whole arc, start to finish, and it belongs in the record exactly like that. DOCUMENTED INFERENCE: Local Idaho outlets covered both the arrest and the sentencing, which is more follow-through than most national outlets gave to cases that ended in probation rather than prison. Idaho Falls kept its own eye on its own man. This is the record. Not the pepper-ball headline. The record. CASE RECORD: Case No. 1:21-mj-650, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Arrested November 30, 2021. Sentenced November 28, 2023. Full pardon January 20, 2025. This profile is unclaimed. If this is you, or your family, claiming it is free, forever.
