Troy Spackman is a West York, Pennsylvania man whose January 6 case closed under the 2025 clemency without a single count ever tested before a jury. He pleaded not guilty. He never got his trial. Here is what the record holds on Troy Spackman, and what it does not. FACT: The U.S. Attorney's Office announced his arrest on October 13, 2023. He was 40, of West York, taken into custody in Harrisburg, and first appeared in federal court in the Middle District of Pennsylvania. That was two years and nine months after January 6, 2021. CHARGE ONLY: A federal grand jury indicted him on seven counts, case 1:24-cr-00315-CRC, including civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers using a dangerous weapon, which the indictment describes as OC spray. The government says an anonymous tipster identified him from footage posted online and that body camera video shows him spraying toward officers. That is the government's account from charging papers. It is not a verdict. FACT: He pleaded not guilty. The case never went to trial. WHERE THINGS STAND: FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump's proclamation granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions, about fifteen months after his arrest and before his case reached a jury. Every count stayed an accusation. Troy Spackman is presumed innocent of anything a court never proved. We found no published reporting on his trade, his service, his church, or his family. The York County outlets ran the arrest and stopped. The government got a press release. The man got one headline. We will not invent the rest. We will publish it the day it comes from him. CASE RECORD Case No. 1:24-cr-00315-CRC (originally magistrate case 23-MJ-00270). U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Complaint filed: October 12, 2023. Arrested: October 13, 2023, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Indicted: seven counts, federal grand jury. Pleaded not guilty. No trial. Status: closed under the January 20, 2025 clemency proclamation.
