Traci Isaacs is a paramedic from St. Cloud, Florida. Before she was ever a case number, she was the person you want showing up when the worst thing is happening to you. That is not spin. It is in the government's own filings. Prosecutors noted that Traci Isaacs had applied to volunteer with a group providing medical support around January 6 because she was a paramedic. [FACT, DOJ charging documents and contemporaneous reporting] Whatever anyone thinks about that day, the reason she was raising her hand was medical. First responders are the people who run toward the thing everyone else runs from. Traci Isaacs of St. Cloud, Florida did that for a living. THE LEGAL FIGHT A criminal complaint was filed June 6, 2022 and Traci Isaacs was arrested June 15, 2022. [FACT, DOJ] The government alleged she entered the Capitol through the Rotunda Doors and remained inside roughly 14 minutes, from about 3:02 to 3:16 p.m. [FACT, DOJ statement of facts] She later pleaded guilty to one count of altering or destroying a record. [FACT] U.S. District Judge Dabney L. Friedrich sentenced her in January 2024 to one year and one day in prison, one year of supervised release, $2,000 in restitution, and a $100 special assessment. [FACT, WKMG ClickOrlando] Charges are charges. The court record is the court record. Nothing here goes past it. THE CLEMENCY On January 20, 2025, a presidential proclamation granted full pardons for offenses related to events at or near the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, which covers this case.
