Tonya Webb is a licensed massage therapist from Stockbridge, Georgia. She works with her hands. She takes pain out of people's backs and necks for a living. She was never convicted of anything. FACT: Tonya Webb of Stockbridge, Georgia is a massage therapist, per FOX 5 Atlanta's reporting on her case. She was the 26th Georgian charged in the January 6 investigation. FACT: the complaint against her was filed August 8, 2023. She was arrested on August 25, 2023, in Huntsville, Alabama. That is two years and seven months after January 6, 2021. FACT, per the government's statement of facts: investigators used cell phone location data to place her device at the Capitol, and said she appears in video footage inside the building. She was described entering at 2:44 p.m. wearing a green jacket and a black hat with TRUMP across the front, staying roughly thirty minutes, and recording on her phone. Neighbors identified her from the footage when agents came knocking. CHARGE ONLY: prosecutors charged Tonya Webb with entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing. Four counts. All four accusations. THE LEGAL FIGHT FACT: a jury trial was set for February 24, 2025. It never happened. FACT: on January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. On January 22, 2025, the court granted the government's motion to dismiss the case with prejudice. FACT: Tonya Webb never pleaded guilty and was never found guilty. She carries no January 6 conviction. A Stockbridge, Georgia massage therapist spent roughly seventeen months as a federal defendant and walked out the other side with nothing proven against her.
