Tom Vournas is a Bradenton, Florida man. Manatee County, Gulf coast. He was 62 years old when a federal indictment came down in January 2024, three years after January 6, 2021. CHARGE ONLY / NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: In January 2024 a grand jury returned an eleven count indictment against Tom Vournas tied to January 6, including felony counts of civil disorder, obstruction of an official proceeding, and assaulting or impeding officers, and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and parading in a Capitol building. Every one of those counts is an allegation. None of them were ever tried. None of them were ever proven. Tom Vournas is presumed innocent of all of it. (WGCU; FOX 13 Tampa Bay; WFLA) FACT: Vournas was never convicted of any January 6 offense. There was no trial and no verdict. FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions, and this case ended without a jury ever hearing it. An indictment is a charging document. It is one side talking. A 62 year old man from Bradenton went three years under that cloud and no court ever ruled on a word of it. THE CASE RECORD U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Indicted and arrested January 2024. Eleven counts. Case terminated following the January 20, 2025 clemency with no conviction.
