Thomas Kasperek is a Lowes Island man from Sterling, in Loudoun County, Virginia. He did not go to Washington alone either. He went with his wife, Daphne Kasperek. A married couple from Northern Virginia, charged together, cleared together. FACT: Thomas Kasperek and Daphne Kasperek were charged in 2024 with entering the Capitol on January 6, 2021, per Loudoun Times-Mirror, Loudoun Now and the Frederick News-Post. The charges against them were entry offenses. Not assault. Not conspiracy. Not sedition. FACT: On January 20, 2025 the Kaspereks were among the January 6 defendants covered by the presidential clemency action, as reported by WJLA and Loudoun Times-Mirror. Think about the arithmetic of that. Charged in 2024 for something in 2021, and the matter was over by January 2025. A Loudoun County couple spent the better part of a year under federal charge and came out the other side. WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE: Clemency is not a finding of innocence and this archive will never pretend otherwise. It is also not a conviction. the Thomas Kasperek case ended without one. WHAT IT DOES PROVE: The federal January 6 net was still pulling in ordinary married couples from Northern Virginia suburbs three years after the fact, on entry charges. That is a fact about the shape of this prosecution, and the record does not lie.
