Thomas John Ballard is a Fort Worth, Texas man who ran a YouTube channel under the name "CliffCares." (FACT: Spectrum News, Conan Daily.) On January 6, 2021 he was near the front of the crowd on the Capitol's lower west terrace. The government alleged he threw a tabletop and used a baton against officers, and charged him with assault and related counts. Charges are charges. FACT: Ballard pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting, resisting or impeding officers with a dangerous weapon. On January 20, 2025, President Trump issued a full pardon covering his January 6 case.
