Theo Hanson is a 54 year old man who traveled to Washington from his home in San Diego, California, and who was living in Nampa, Idaho when the federal government came for him almost three years later. He was never convicted of anything. Not one count. ## The legal fight Federal agents arrested Theo Hanson on November 30, 2023, in Nampa, Idaho. That is nearly three years after January 6, 2021. He was charged with conspiracy to impede or injure officers, civil disorder, and four misdemeanors. Theo Hanson pleaded NOT GUILTY to all of it. He never took a plea deal. He never admitted a single count. On January 22, 2025, the court granted the government's motion to dismiss his case WITH PREJUDICE. With prejudice means the government cannot bring it back. ## What the record shows FACT: Theo Hanson was never convicted of any January 6 offense. No plea of guilty. No verdict. No sentence. The case was dismissed with prejudice on January 22, 2025. CHARGE ONLY: everything the government said about Theo Hanson exists in a probable cause affidavit and an indictment. Those are accusations. They were never tested at trial and they were never proven. A charge is a charge. It is not a finding. NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: the affidavit quotes messages the government attributes to him about traveling with other people and about firearms. Nobody proved those messages meant what the government said they meant, because no jury ever heard the case. The archive will not upgrade an unproven affidavit quote into a fact. DOCUMENTED INFERENCE: the dismissal came two days after the January 20, 2025 presidential clemency action and matches the Rule 48(a) dismissal pattern applied to pending January 6 indictments. ## What this does not prove, and what it does It does not prove he did nothing. It proves the United States government spent three years building a case, charged a felony conspiracy, and then walked away from it permanently without asking a jury for anything. Theo Hanson has no January 6 conviction. That is the record. ## Case record - Court: U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia - Arrest: November 30, 2023, Nampa, Idaho - Plea: Not guilty, all counts - Disposition: Dismissed with prejudice, January 22, 2025 - Charging document: CourtListener RECAP, docket 262429 This profile is unclaimed.
