Steven Fogarty is a Las Vegas, Nevada man swept into the January 6 case files nearly four years after the fact. Here's what the record shows. Fogarty was arrested on October 18, 2024, one of the last waves of Capitol breach arrests before the pardons closed the books on the prosecutions entirely. FACT, per the U.S. Attorney's Office for D.C. He was charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing. Fogarty pleaded not guilty to every charge. On January 22, 2025, the court granted the government's motion to dismiss his case with prejudice. FACT, per the court docket. That means the case is closed for good, and no conviction was ever entered against him. There is no independent news coverage found on Fogarty beyond the federal charging documents themselves. That is worth stating plainly rather than filling in with guesswork: the public record here is thin, and thin is not the same as guilty. He was charged, he denied it, and the government dropped the case before it ever reached a jury. Ryan Nichols built this archive because too many of these cases got a headline on the way in and silence on the way out. A man gets arrested and it is news. A man gets his case dismissed with prejudice and it disappears. This is the record. Same county, opposite rule.
