Steve Saxiones
January 6 defendant
Documented editorial-use imageSteve Saxiones is a Cedar Hill man, out of southern Dallas County, Texas. He was arrested in April 2024. Three years and three months after January 6, 2021. Think about what a man builds in three years. A job. A routine. A family that thought it was over. WHO HE IS FACT: Steve Saxiones is from Cedar Hill, Texas, in Dallas County. NBC 5 Dallas Fort Worth, the Dallas Morning News, WFAA, and KCEN all covered him as a Cedar Hill and North Texas man. FACT: The Justice Department press release describing his arrest identified him as a Texas Proud Boy. That is the government's characterization, not a court finding. THE LEGAL FIGHT CHARGE ONLY: Steve Saxiones was arrested in April 2024 and charged with assaulting law enforcement and other offenses connected to January 6, 2021. Every one of those counts is an allegation by a prosecutor. FACT: He is presumed innocent of any charge no court resolved against him. DOCUMENTED INFERENCE: Law and Crime reported that he had been detained at the Capitol on January 6, 2021 itself and was arrested again years later. He was not federally charged for more than three years after the day. FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. WFAA's five years later review of North Texas cases tracked the commutations, pardons, and dismissals across the region. NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: the case number, the docket, and the order that closed the matter for Steve Saxiones. Not recorded in the DOJ mirror this archive preserved. WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE It does not prove Steve Saxiones assaulted anyone. A press release is not a verdict. There is no conviction in this record. WHAT IT DOES PROVE The government had him in hand at the Capitol on the day itself and let him go, then came back with felony charges thirty nine months later. Same man. Same day. Opposite decision. That is the timeline, and the timeline is the receipt. CASE RECORD Name: Steve Saxiones Hometown: Cedar Hill, Dallas County, Texas Arrested: April 2024 Court: U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: case number and docket entries.
