Sean Carlo Cordon is a Los Angeles man who went to Washington with his brother. Two brothers. One trip. One case. A Finnish news crew filmed the crowd, and a viewer in Finland recognized them and called it in. That is how the FBI found two men from Southern California. A tip from across an ocean. WHO HE IS FACT: Sean Carlo Cordon is from the Los Angeles area of California. The Los Angeles Times, the Long Beach Press Telegram, NBC Los Angeles, and Raw Story covered him as a Southern California man. FACT: He was arrested alongside his brother, Kevin Francisco Cordon. Law and Crime covered both brothers entering guilty pleas in the same case. FACT: The brothers were identified after appearing in a Finnish television news video. The Los Angeles Times and Yahoo News reported that the tip came from Finland. THE LEGAL FIGHT FACT: Arrested March 9, 2021. Initial appearance March 16, 2021. Charged via criminal information April 1, 2021. FACT: Arraigned May 18, 2021 and pleaded not guilty to all counts. Plea agreement entered August 27, 2021. CHARGE ONLY, per the DOJ record: Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building; Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. Every count was a misdemeanor. FACT: On November 12, 2021 Sean Carlo Cordon was sentenced to 2 months probation, a $4,000 fine, and $500 restitution. FACT: Two months probation. No jail. That is what the court decided this was. FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions.
