**Ryan Swoope** is a Perry, Ohio man, Lake County, right on the shore of Lake Erie east of Cleveland, a village of a couple thousand people. He was in his mid-twenties on January 6, 2021, and he is one of the few January 6 defendants who sat down with a local news crew afterward and talked about it on camera. **His story.** That took something. The felony count against him concerned a chemical irritant sprayed near an open door on the north side of the building; a Capitol Police sergeant reported coughing and watering eyes. No firearm.
