Robert Ciottoni is a Willow Grove, Pennsylvania man who was still facing a jury four years after January 6, and whose whole case came down to a calendar. FACT: Federal agents arrested Robert Ciottoni in Philadelphia on March 8, 2024, more than three years after January 6, 2021. FACT: According to the charging documents described in that reporting, Ciottoni traveled from Philadelphia to Washington by Amtrak and was inside the Capitol for approximately seven minutes. FACT: The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Robert Ciottoni's trial was set for January 2025 and that his attorney asked the court to postpone it, writing that going forward "would not only risk rendering the process moot, but would also squander the limited resources" of the court. FACT: On January 20, 2025, three days before that trial date, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. CHARGE ONLY. Robert Ciottoni was never convicted by a jury.
