Reynold Robert Voisine is a 47-year-old man from Nicholville, New York, up in St. Lawrence County against the Canadian border, and the United States government moved to dismiss his case with prejudice. With prejudice. Understand what that means. It is the strongest ending a federal criminal case can have. It cannot be brought back. It is over, permanently, and the government asked for it. FACT. On January 21, 2025, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia granted the government's motion to dismiss the case against Reynold Robert Voisine with prejudice. He was never convicted. He never stood trial. There is no verdict on him and there never will be. Court-record derived, per the NPR Jan. 6 Archive case record. FACT. Voisine was not arrested until October 24, 2024. He turned himself in at Plattsburgh, was arraigned, and was released the same day on his own recognizance. He did not run. He walked in. Source: WWNY 7 News, Watertown. CHARGE ONLY. The government charged assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers with a deadly or dangerous weapon, civil disorder, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon, disorderly and disruptive conduct, engaging in physical violence, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, impeding passage, and an act of physical violence. Every one of those was an allegation in a charging paper. Not one was ever proven. The case was dismissed with prejudice before any of it was tested. IDENTITY GUARD, READ THIS. Two Voisine brothers from St. Lawrence County were charged together. Reynold Robert Voisine, 47, of Nicholville. Roger Alyre Voisine Jr., 48, of Canton. Same surname, same county, same week, one year apart in age. This page is about Reynold, of Nicholville, and nothing on it may be read as being about his brother. Anyone citing this archive must keep those two men separate. FACT. On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. The dismissal with prejudice landed the next day. DOCUMENTED INFERENCE. Court records list a District of Columbia magistrate case 1:24-mj-00327 captioned United States v. Voisine, filed October 16, 2024, which matches this timeline. That number may cover more than one defendant. We have not seen a native docket sheet, so it is labeled inference, not fact. What the record shows: a North Country man who surrendered voluntarily, was never convicted, and whose case the government itself asked the court to end for good. What the record does not show: his trade, his service, his family, his life in Nicholville. A man can lose three months of his life to a federal charge and get nothing in the paper but the charge. THE CASE RECORD United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Arrested October 24, 2024, surrendered at Plattsburgh, New York. Released on personal recognizance. Case dismissed WITH PREJUDICE on the government's own motion, January 21, 2025. Magistrate case 1:24-mj-327, documented inference. This profile is unclaimed. If this is you, or your family, claiming it is free, forever.
