Ralph Kahler is a Great Falls, Virginia husband who walked into the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021 with his wife Suzanne at his side, took a few photographs, and walked back out. FACT: According to the FBI statement of facts, Ralph and Suzanne Kahler entered through the Senate Wing door around 3:07 p.m. as an alarm sounded inside the building. FACT: They were inside a short time. FACT: Ralph took a photo of Suzanne while they were there and later sent it to others, which is part of how investigators identified the couple. That is the entire case against Ralph Kahler. No assault charge. No weapon. No destruction of property. A married couple from Great Falls walked in, looked around, and walked out. Ralph Kahler was arrested on July 6, 2023, more than two and a half years after January 6. FACT: He pleaded guilty to Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced. Suzanne Kahler faced the same charge as a co-defendant. This is a couple who went to Washington together and answered for it together. Ralph Kahler is 63 years old. He built a life in Great Falls, Virginia long before January 6, and this record does not erase that. The court record here is thin and low-level by design: parading is the lowest tier of J6 charge on the books, and it is what he was charged with and what he admitted to. January 20, 2025: President Trump issued a sweeping clemency proclamation covering January 6 defendants. NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: whether Ralph Kahler's case was directly affected by that proclamation is not confirmed in the sources reviewed for this profile, and this page will be updated when that is verified. Case record: Case No. 23-mj-152, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Arrested July 6, 2023. Charge: Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. Disposition: guilty plea, misdemeanor, sentenced. This is the record on Ralph Kahler. A man and his wife, a few minutes inside a building, a photograph, and years later a knock on the door. Same country, different standard applied to different people depending on which side of the aisle they stood on. Show me the evidence and judge it for yourself. This profile is unclaimed.
