Philip C. Vogel, known to friends as "Flip," owned Vera General Contracting and Cleaning Services in Stowe Township, Pennsylvania, with his wife Debra Maimone running the business as its president. They built that business together. Then they went to Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021, and both of their names ended up in the same federal case. Philip Vogel pleaded guilty to a single theft count and was sentenced on August 25, 2023, to 30 days, a year of supervised release, restitution, and community service. His wife received two years of probation on a related plea. On January 20, 2025, Philip C. Vogel received a full pardon from President Trump. The New Castle-area couple who built a business together kept building it, on the other side of a federal case that is now closed.
