Patrick Jerome Woehl is a 54 year old man from Citrus Heights, California, in Sacramento County. He walked into the Capitol and walked out, and the whole thing took about twenty minutes. He got six months. He did the time. Then he got a full pardon. THE LEGAL FIGHT. FACT: Patrick Woehl was arrested on December 13, 2023. FACT: he was charged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia with Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building or Grounds, and Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. Four counts. Every one of them a misdemeanor. No assault count. No weapon count. No property damage count. FACT: Patrick Woehl pleaded NOT GUILTY to all charges. He made the government prove it. FACT: he was found guilty in a bench trial on June 6, 2024. FACT: on September 23, 2024 he was sentenced to 6 months of incarceration, 12 months of supervised release, $500 in restitution, a $70 special assessment and 50 hours of community service. THEIR ACCOUNT: FBI records state that when an agent spoke with Woehl in the summer of 2022, he said he only went into the Capitol "because police deployed smoke bombs behind him and the only way to avoid the smoke was to go inside the building." FACT: on January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. Patrick Woehl received a full pardon. IDENTITY NOTE, FACT: a separate Citrus Heights, California January 6 defendant named Kyle Travis Colton was charged and convicted in the Eastern District of California on an unrelated child pornography count. That is a DIFFERENT MAN. Nothing of the kind appears anywhere in the record of Patrick Jerome Woehl. This archive checked, because same town is not the same person. WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE: nothing in the Patrick Woehl record alleges violence against any person. CASE RECORD. Case 1:23-mj-00331, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
