Patrick Alonzo Stedman is a husband, a father, a University of Pennsylvania graduate and a self-employed relationship coach from Haddonfield, New Jersey. A federal jury convicted him of a felony. A federal appeals court threw that felony out. That is not a technicality. That is the system correcting itself, and it happened to him. FACT. Patrick Alonzo Stedman was charged in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, case 1:21-cr-383. He pleaded not guilty to every count and took it to trial. On June 9, 2023 a jury found him guilty on all counts. On September 8, 2023 he was sentenced to 48 months incarceration, 36 months of supervised release, $2,000 restitution, a $20,000 fine and a $170 special assessment. FACT. On September 9, 2024, the United States Court of Appeals vacated the obstruction of an official proceeding conviction. The felony did not survive appellate review. On December 19, 2024 he was resentenced to time served, 12 months of supervised release, a $70 special assessment, $2,000 restitution and a $20,000 fine. FACT. On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. Patrick Stedman received a full and unconditional pardon. THEIR ACCOUNT. Stedman is a 2010 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, a History and Political Science major with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. He works as a dating and relationship coach for men and built that practice himself, from nothing, as a one-man business. In a February 2025 interview with The Daily Pennsylvanian he said the hardest part was, in his words, I had to spend a year in federal prison away from my family, away from my wife and kids, all of which put an enormous burden on them. THEIR ACCOUNT. In that same interview Stedman said he does not regret his stance on the 2020 election. This archive prints what he says because he said it publicly under his own name. His political opinions are his. They are not findings of fact, and this archive does not endorse or refute them. SELF-PUBLISHED. Stedman writes publicly under the name Pat Stedman. The court record itself notes his public account and its following of roughly 26,000 at the time of charging. Handles change, so verify before you link. What the record shows: a jury convicted him, an appeals court vacated the felony, a resentencing cut it to time served, and a pardon closed it. What it proves: he was sentenced to four years on a charge that did not hold up. He served about a year of it before the appellate court acted. You do not get that year back.
