Odin Meacham is a professional mixed martial artist out of Myton, Utah, a small town in Duchesne County in the Uinta Basin. Seven pro fights. A record of 6 and 1. His last win was a first round submission at Rocky Mountain Fight Championship 9. That is a man who knows what a fair fight is. That is a man who knows what it costs to step into one. FACT: Meacham competed professionally in MMA, going 6-1 in seven bouts, last competing in January 2014 under the Rocky Mountain Fight Championship banner. (Sportskeeda) FACT: He is from Myton, in Duchesne County, Utah. The Uinta Basin. Oil country, ranch country, a long way from Washington, D.C. (KSL; Fox 13 Salt Lake City) FACT: Odin Meacham was charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers, civil disorder, entering and remaining in a restricted building with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct in a restricted building with a dangerous weapon, and engaging in physical violence in a restricted building. The government alleged he swung a wooden pole at officers and threw a metal pole. (DOJ press release) FACT: He was tried in a bench trial before Judge John D. Bates and convicted in July 2024. On November 5, 2024 he was sentenced to six years in prison and two years of supervised release. He remained free pending self-report. (Fox 13 Salt Lake City; DOJ press release) FACT: His nephew, Nejourde Meacham, 19, was also charged over January 6 and died while his case was still pending. He never saw the end of it. (Fox 13 Salt Lake City) FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. KSL reported Odin Meacham was among those pardoned. (KSL) Six years. Then the pardon. He is home in Utah. THEIR ACCOUNT: At sentencing his attorneys described a childhood of poverty and a hard home, and said he went to Washington because he believed he had been called there. (Fox 13 Salt Lake City; WUSA9) WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE: nothing here says the underlying conduct did not happen. The court found it did. What the record also shows is a man who took a six year sentence and then got it lifted by clemency, and a family that buried a 19 year old before his day in court. THE CASE RECORD Court: U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Judge John D. Bates. Conviction: bench trial, July 2024.
