Machine operator as a subcontractor. In July 2021 he was hired as a cabinet maker at a cabinet shop in Savoy, Texas, and he was still working there when he stood before the judge. His employer, a family friend who had known him since he was a boy, wrote the court asking for leniency and called him an asset to the company. A second family friend who had known Nolan Bernard Cooke since he was four years old wrote the court and described him as well mannered and reserved. FACT: He is close with his parents and his two siblings. The sentencing memo says he maintains a close relationship with all of them.
