Michael Gianos is a South Jersey man from Marlton, in Burlington County, who was 33 years old when federal agents came to his door. FACT: Court records place Gianos and two co-defendants inside an office within the Speaker's suite for less than one minute. Less than sixty seconds. That is the conduct at the center of a federal case that ran nearly two years of his life. FACT: In the weeks before January 6, 2021, Gianos exchanged messages with his two co-defendants and forwarded posts from the President and from Rudy Giuliani. FACT: The same court record notes that he and his co-defendants had protested together at a gym in Bellmawr, New Jersey, the small business that became the flashpoint of that state's pandemic shutdown fight. Whatever else that was, it was neighbors standing outside a gym for a local owner. THE CASE, PLAINLY CHARGE ONLY: Four counts, all tied to entering and remaining. FACT: Michael Gianos pleaded guilty on April 28, 2023, to one count, Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds, a misdemeanor. The other charges were dismissed. FACT: On July 25, 2023, he was sentenced to 24 months of probation with the first 30 days in home detention, 50 hours of community service, $500 in restitution, and a $25 special assessment. No prison. FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. Michael Gianos received a full pardon. WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE No theft charge. No assault charge. No weapon charge. Not one count. The DOJ record does not allege that Michael Gianos took anything out of that office or put a hand on anybody.
