Marissa and Dylan Bowling were identified from TikTok and YouTube video, closed-circuit Capitol footage, and their own phones' GPS data, which investigators say placed them inside the Capitol for about 21 minutes on January 6, 2021. When first interviewed, Marissa denied entering the building at all, an admission she later walked back. The couple was arrested November 1, 2023, nearly three years later. Marissa was charged with entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct, and parading. She pleaded guilty to two counts, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and parading, and the rest were dismissed. On July 19, 2024, Judge Amit Mehta sentenced her to 24 months of probation and 60 hours of community service, with $500 in restitution and a $20 special assessment. FACT, per the court docket.
