Lee Stutts is a former United States Marine from Catawba County, North Carolina. That comes first here, because it came first in his life. He wore the uniform. He raised his right hand. Nothing that happened later takes that away from him. Lee Stutts was 46 years old when federal agents arrested him on November 16, 2023, almost three full years after January 6, 2021. [FACT, WBTV] He made his first appearance in the Western District of North Carolina the next day on a criminal complaint filed out of the District of Columbia. [FACT] The government charged Lee Stutts with two felonies and three misdemeanors: assaulting, resisting or impeding officers with a deadly or dangerous weapon; obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; and engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds. [CHARGE ONLY] Read that word again. Charged. He pleaded not guilty. [FACT] He did not sign a plea deal. He was reported headed to trial on fifteen counts when the January 20, 2025 clemency proclamation ended the January 6 prosecutions. [FACT] No jury ever convicted Lee Stutts of anything on this docket. The allegations above were never proven, and under American law they never have to be answered now. That is not a technicality. That is the presumption of innocence doing exactly what it is supposed to do. THE RECORD Case 1:24-cr-00019-TSC, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Arrested November 16, 2023. Not-guilty plea entered. Final person-specific dismissal order not yet captured in this archive. [NEEDS AUTHENTICATION] This profile is unclaimed.
