Lance Michael Ligocki is a father from Oakwood, Illinois, a small town outside Danville in Vermilion County, right up against the Indiana line. He was 35 when the federal case landed. FACT, per ABC 7 Chicago. Downstate Illinois. Farm country. The part of the state Chicago forgets exists. Everybody who saw him that day remembers the suit. Lance Ligocki wore a full American flag suit to Washington on January 6, 2021. Stars and stripes head to toe. He was not hiding from anybody. THE LEGAL FIGHT That suit is also why the FBI eventually found him. Lance Ligocki was named in a sealed indictment in early 2024 and arrested in March 2024. Three years and two months after January 6. FACT. The government alleged he swung a pole carrying a Trump flag and struck officers on a Capitol terrace. CHARGE ONLY. Those were allegations in a charging document, not findings by a jury. Lance Ligocki pleaded not guilty at his video arraignment. FACT, per ABC 7 Chicago. He never got a trial.
