Kaleb Dillard is a Birmingham, Alabama military veteran, a Briarwood Christian School graduate, and a husband who came home from federal prison and built a life on the other side of the worst year he ever had. Start with what it cost him, because he does not hide from it. FACT: Kaleb Dillard was arrested August 23, 2022 and charged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, case 1:23-cr-00049-JMC. FACT: he pleaded guilty to assaulting a law enforcement officer on January 6, 2021 and served roughly ten months in the federal prison at Yazoo City, Mississippi. Sources: U.S. Attorney news releases and 1819 News. THEIR ACCOUNT: in his own words, "I just acted, you know? And I went, grabbed him by the vest and pulled him down." He said it out loud, to a reporter, on the record. That is more accountability than most people ever put their name to. FACT: Kaleb Dillard received a full pardon under the January 20, 2025 presidential proclamation covering offenses related to the events at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. DILLARD, KALEB appears on the Department of Justice Office of the Pardon Attorney list of pardon certificate recipients. Now the part nobody talks about. His fiancee left while he was gone. He met Anna after he came home. They married. He went back to Birmingham, back to his faith, and he is writing a book about prison, the Justice Department, and what he learned in there. THEIR ACCOUNT, 1819 News and WBRC. And when Kaleb Dillard talks about the pardon and the compensation debate, he does not talk about himself. He talks about the people still behind him: "It was a total God thing because so many other Jan-sixters have it way, way worse." Case record: 1:23-cr-00049-JMC, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Arrested August 23, 2022. Full pardon January 20, 2025. This profile is unclaimed. If this is you, or your family, claiming it is free, forever.
