Justina Nicole Guardino is a Wilmington mom who showed up for her kids' schools. New Hanover County, North Carolina. Justina Guardino served as vice chair of the county chapter of Moms for Liberty, the parent group that packs school board meetings and reads the curriculum nobody else reads. THE LEGAL FIGHT On September 12, 2024, more than three and a half years after January 6, 2021, federal agents arrested Justina Guardino in Wilmington. She was 32. [FACT] She was charged with misdemeanors: entering or remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and parading or demonstrating in a Capitol building. WHAT JUSTINA GUARDINO SAYS She said her time in the building was peaceful and closer to a public tour, because she believed at the time the Capitol was open to the public. [FACT] On January 23, 2025, Senior U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell dismissed the charges against Justina Guardino. The judge granted the dismissal but declined to make it with prejudice.
