Justin R. Schulze is a Colorado Springs man who was 31 years old when federal agents came for him almost three years after January 6. November 2023. That is when the knock came. [FACT, KRDO; Colorado Sun] Justin Schulze had been living his life in El Paso County, Colorado for nearly three years while the file sat somewhere in Washington with his name on it. He was charged with one felony count of obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder, plus misdemeanors including disorderly conduct and parading in a Capitol building. [CHARGE ONLY] A second El Paso County man, Eric Zeis of Monument, Colorado, was arrested the same day and charged with the same offenses. [FACT] Understand what that late timing does to a person. Three years of not knowing. Three years of every unfamiliar car on the street meaning something. Justin Schulze was not a fugitive. He was home in Colorado Springs the whole time. Charges are charges. Nothing listed above was proven against Justin R. Schulze in a courtroom, and no conviction appears in this archive. He is presumed innocent of every count. The January 20, 2025 clemency proclamation covered the January 6 prosecutions. [FACT] The person-specific dismissal filing in the Justin Schulze case is not yet captured here. [NEEDS AUTHENTICATION] THE RECORD Charged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia; arrested in the District of Colorado, El Paso County, November 2023. Case number not yet captured. [NEEDS AUTHENTICATION] This profile is unclaimed. If this is you, or your family, claiming it is free, forever.
