FACT: Youngerman was arrested in late July 2023 in San Diego County. Prosecutors alleged he climbed a rope up the northwest wall of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, entered around 2:37 p.m., walked to the Rotunda, and left a short time later through the Upper West Terrace Door (FOX 5 San Diego; Times of San Diego). An August 2024 superseding indictment stacked on additional counts tied to a California Telegram group. Every one of those charges was an allegation, none was ever proven at trial, and Joshua Youngerman pleaded guilty to nothing. The legal fight ended on January 20, 2025, when the presidential clemency proclamation ordered pending January 6 indictments dismissed with prejudice.
