Joseph Michael Adams is a Hedgesville, West Virginia man, from the eastern panhandle, who was 41 years old when the government finally came for him. Three years and ten months after January 6, 2021. FACT: Joseph Michael Adams was arrested in late October 2024. West Virginia MetroNews and the Register Herald both reported the arrest and both placed him in Hedgesville. CHARGE ONLY: Prosecutors charged one felony count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers, plus seven misdemeanor counts including entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct, physical violence in a Capitol building, and parading. The allegation described a five minute window in the Rotunda. That description came out of a charging document written by the government. It was never tested by a jury.
