Jordan Bonenberger of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, walked into the FBI office and turned himself in. Nobody kicked his door at dawn. He drove there himself. WHO HE IS FACT: Jordan Bonenberger was 26 years old and living in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, when he was charged. NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: Local reporting states he served in the United States Marine Corps. This archive is seeking his DD-214 or an equivalent record to confirm the service and the dates. FACT: He was the first person living in Butler County to face charges connected to January 6. THE SELF SURRENDER FACT: A complaint was filed March 14, 2022. On the morning of Friday, March 18, 2022, Jordan Bonenberger turned himself in to the FBI. He was not taken down in a raid. He showed up. That matters. When a man learns the federal government is looking for him and he drives to their office and hands himself over, the government does not get to pretend he was a flight risk. THE CHARGES CHARGE ONLY: He was charged with four counts, all misdemeanors. Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds. Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds. Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building. Parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building. FACT: No felony. No allegation of assault on any officer. No allegation of a weapon. FACT: The government stated Bonenberger entered the Capitol at approximately 2:38 p.m. and left shortly before 3 p.m. Surveillance placed him in the Rotunda and the West Corridor. FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump issued clemency covering January 6 cases. Roughly twenty minutes. Four misdemeanors. A voluntary surrender. That is the whole federal case against Jordan Bonenberger of Cranberry Township.
