Jon Nicholas Heneghan is a Dunedin, Florida poker champion and rideshare driver who won a World Series of Poker gold bracelet, and a January 6 defendant. In 2005 he sat down in the $1,000 no limit hold'em event at the World Series of Poker. The field was 894 players. He won it. Gold bracelet. $611,015. Poker trade press reports it was the first live tournament cash of his life. FACT: The Tampa Bay Times reported he put those winnings into the historic telephone building in Clearwater, and described him in 2023 as a rideshare driver. He walked into the biggest room in his sport and walked out a champion. That is still true. FACT: On January 6, 2021, Jon Heneghan and a co-defendant entered the Capitol through the Senate Wing door about ten minutes after others had breached it. He walked through the Crypt and up to the second floor near the Speaker's suite, then left through the East Rotunda door roughly 20 minutes later, per his signed statement of offense.
