The record, so far

John Earle Sullivan — Salt Lake City, Utah. An unusual file, and we will lay it out honestly. FACT: Sullivan is not from the same political world as most people in this archive. He founded and led a group called Insurgence USA and organized protests under the name Activist John. He describes himself as a photojournalist. (DOJ complaint; Wikipedia) FACT: He filmed inside the Capitol that day, and his footage became some of the most-used video of January 6 in national news coverage — including the moments surrounding the shooting of Ashli Babbitt. Much of what the country saw of that day, it saw through his camera. Whatever anyone thinks of him, that is the historical record. (Wikipedia; Inner City Press) FACT: On 11/16/2023 a federal jury convicted him of obstructing an official proceeding, obstructing officers during a civil disorder, entering and remaining in a restricted building with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct in a restricted building with a dangerous weapon, and unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon on Capitol grounds. (DOJ) FACT: He was sentenced by Judge Royce C. Lamberth to 72 months in prison, 36 months of supervised release, and $2,000 restitution. (DOJ) FACT: On January 20, 2025, President Trump issued clemency in January 6 cases. NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: Sullivan has been publicly outspoken and has given interviews. We have not verified any current social account as self-published and identity-matched, so we are linking none. Send us a verified handle and we will add it. 2. 2

    Ryan reviews it personally

Every claim is checked by Ryan against the DOJ docket and public record. Imposters get rejected. You only need to do this once.

  3. 3

    Profile becomes yours

Once approved, this page comes down and a fresh case-builder takes its place. You can upload photos, scanned documents, embedded TikTok / YouTube / X videos, your testimony in your own words. Everything you upload waits for review before going public.

Why this matters for John

Most J6 defendant case files sit locked inside law firms. The public hears soundbites. They do not see the grievance forms denied without a hearing. They do not see the water shut off. They do not see four years of constitutional rights violated, one piece of paper at a time.

We put it in public. All of it. Every defendant who joins. One airtight record the government cannot refute. That is how this case is won.
