John Joseph Richter is a resident of Port Charlotte, Florida — a Charlotte County man who traveled to the nation's capital in January 2021 believing he was standing up for election integrity. On January 6, 2021, John traveled to Washington, D.C., with a friend to be present as Congress met. He entered the Capitol and the Senate Chamber, and left the building when Metropolitan Police officers directed the crowd out.
