John Paul Bordeaux is a Floyd, Virginia man who was charged in the final months of the January 6 prosecutions and never saw a trial. Floyd is a small town in the Blue Ridge of southwest Virginia, and that is where the FBI found him. John Paul Bordeaux was 36 when he was arrested there on October 9, 2024, nearly four years after the day in question. His brother, Nathan Bordeaux, was charged separately a few months later and has his own record. (FACT, DOJ press release 24-829, WSET, Augusta Free Press) WHAT THE GOVERNMENT ALLEGED, AND ONLY ALLEGED. Prosecutors charged John Paul Bordeaux by criminal complaint with two felony offenses, civil disorder and assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers, plus misdemeanor counts including entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds and disorderly conduct. CHARGE ONLY. Every word of the government's account is an allegation. No jury ever weighed it, no judge ever ruled on it, and John Paul Bordeaux carries the presumption of innocence on every single count. (FACT that he was charged, per DOJ press release 24-829 dated October 9, 2024; the underlying conduct remains an allegation) HOW IT ENDED. On January 20, 2025, President Trump granted clemency covering the January 6 prosecutions. His case was still pending at that point, and pending District of Columbia cases were moved to be vacated and dismissed. (DOCUMENTED INFERENCE from the clemency proclamation and the posture of his case; no verdict was ever entered) CASE RECORD, as preserved from the DOJ Capitol Breach list this archive mirrored after the government scrubbed it from justice.gov. The archived row for John Paul Bordeaux carries no case number and no disposition, because the case never produced one. Charges are charges. There is no conviction in this record. SOURCING NOTE FOR FUTURE RUNS: a prior pass warned that Floyd County January 6 coverage often belongs to Nathan Bordeaux, who is a separate row in this archive. That still holds. Every link attached here names John Paul Bordeaux specifically, and the DOJ press release identifies him as John Paul Bordeaux, 36, of Floyd, Virginia, BOLO 328, arrested October 9, 2024. Coverage of the January 2025 Floyd County arrest belongs to Nathan Bordeaux and must not be attached to this page. Four years after the fact, charged, then closed out without a verdict. The archive is still missing the rest of John Paul Bordeaux: his work, his trade, his family in Floyd, Virginia. That part belongs to him. This profile is unclaimed. If this is you, or your family, claiming it is free, forever.
