John Andries once helped fly the President of the United States. Before January 6, Andries served in the U.S. Marine Corps on HMX-1, the presidential helicopter squadron — the Marines entrusted with Marine One. That is a duty reserved for people the Corps trusts completely. (FACT — reported by Law & Crime.) He is a Marine from Piney Point, Maryland. That service is real, and it belongs in the same sentence as his name. The court record, straight: Andries traveled from Maryland to Washington and entered the Capitol on January 6, 2021. He pleaded guilty on August 23, 2022, to obstruction of an official proceeding and was sentenced to 12 months and a day, plus restitution and supervised release. Charges are charges; this was his plea and the court's sentence. On January 20, 2025, his case fell under President Trump's clemency for January 6 defendants. (FACT.) Case record: No. 1:21-cr-93, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Arrested February 4, 2021. This profile is unclaimed. If this is you — or your family — claiming it is free, forever.
