Jeffrey Newcomb is an Ashland County, Ohio man from the small town of Polk — a hands-on builder whose case is one of the clearest examples of charges that were never proven and never will be. FACT: Newcomb was not arrested until October 2024 — nearly four years after January 6, 2021. He was charged by criminal complaint with felony counts of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers and obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder, plus misdemeanors. Charges are charges: Jeffrey Newcomb never went to trial, never entered a plea deal, and was never convicted of anything. DOCUMENTED INFERENCE: court papers describe a large custom metal-framed sign Newcomb fabricated himself and hauled to D.C. — whatever else is said about that day, building a 13-foot rolling steel sign is real fabrication skill. FACT: On January 22, 2025, following President Trump's January 20 clemency proclamation, the case against Jeffrey Newcomb was dismissed in full. He went home to Polk, Ohio with a clean resolution — no conviction, case closed. CASE RECORD — U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Criminal complaint filed 2024; arrested 10/2024; dismissed 1/22/2025 per presidential proclamation. Sources linked on this profile. This profile is unclaimed.
