FACT: On June 5, 2024, the FBI arrested four men from that corner of Pennsylvania in one sweep. Jarrett Carl Scott, 48, of Saylorsburg. Scott Slater Sr., 56, of Saylorsburg. Scott Alex Slater Jr., 26, of Saylorsburg. And Tighe John Scott, 75, of Pen Argyl, a retired NASCAR driver. Four men, one complaint, three and a half years after January 6, 2021. NEEDS AUTHENTICATION: the Department of Justice press release spells the name "Jarret Carl Scott" with one T. The NPR January 6 archive spells it "Jarrett." Both refer to the same 48 year old man from Saylorsburg arrested June 5, 2024. CHARGE ONLY: the government charged Jarrett Scott with Civil Disorder, Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers, Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon, Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon, Engaging in Physical Violence in a Restricted Building or Grounds with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon, Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building, and Act of Physical Violence in the Capitol Building or Grounds. Every one of those is an allegation. The presumption of innocence applies to all of it. FACT: Jarrett Carl Scott pleaded NOT GUILTY to all charges. He did not take a deal. FACT: On January 21, 2025, the court granted the government's motion and dismissed the case with prejudice, following the clemency President Trump granted on January 20, 2025. WHAT THIS DOES NOT PROVE: not one count against Jarrett Scott was ever proven. No plea. No verdict. No sentence. Dismissed with prejudice.
