FACT: According to WUSA9's reporting on the charging documents, Jack Westly Ryan traveled to Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021 aboard a bus with a church group out of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and attended the rally. FACT: In October 2023, Ryan sat down voluntarily with the FBI. He was not dragged in. He went. FACT: He was arrested on April 10, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri, three years and three months after January 6. CHARGE ONLY: The government charged Jack Westly Ryan, Jr. with Civil Disorder, Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers, Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Engaging in Physical Violence in a Restricted Building or Grounds, Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building, and Act of Physical Violence in the Capitol Building or Grounds. Charges are allegations. He is presumed innocent of every one of them. FACT: Jack Westly Ryan pleaded NOT GUILTY to all charges. He never wavered. A jury trial was set for January 28, 2025. FACT: The jury never heard it. On January 21, 2025, the court granted the government's motion and dismissed the case with prejudice, following the clemency President Trump granted on January 20, 2025.
